Day 1 Makadi Bay - Luxor

Golavita representative will meet you at your hotel lobby to start your 2 Days in Luxor from Makadi Bay to Luxor attractions. It takes around 4 hours driving with a short break on the way for coffee, toilet, and breakfast. Upon arrival to Luxor, you will start your tour on Luxor's east bank.

Luxor temple

The first stop will be Luxor temple, it is an amazing Pharaonic temple on Luxor's east bank dedicated to God Amun. The entrance of the temple is decorated with six colossi statues for Ramesses the Great and an Obelisk. Karnak temple

Then you can explore the temple of Karnak, Karnak is the biggest temple not only in Egypt but in the world. Indeed, there is a lot to see in Karnak such as the Hypostyle Hall, Mut temple, Khonsu temple, and Barque shrine of Ramesses III. Also, you can visit the Red Chapel, White Chapel, Sacred Lake, and Festival Hall of Thutmose III. Day 2 Luxor East Bank

Enjoy your morning breakfast at the hotel before you start your Luxor day tours on Luxor's west bank.

Valley of the Kings

You will start your day with the Valley of the Kings which is the burial place of all the Kings of the Eighteenth Dynasty, Nineteenth Dynasty, and Twentieth Dynasty. Also, Tutankhamun's tomb is one of these tombs in the Valley of the Kings. The walls of the tombs are covered with religious books and magical formulas to protect the king during his trip to the afterlife. These books include the Book of Day, Book of Night, Book of Heavenly Cow, Book of Caverns, and the Book of Imyduat. You can visit 3 tombs included in your ticket and you can choose from:

  • Tomb of Ramses III (KV 11)
  • Ramses IX Tomb KV 6
  • Merenptah tomb (KV 8)
  • The tomb of Tausert and Setnakht (KV 14)

There are also 3 extra tombs against charge such as Tutankhamun's tomb with his mummy and sarcophagus because the rest of the treasures are in the Grand Egyptian Museum. Also, Seti I tomb and Ramesses V are extra charge tombs. After visiting your 3 tombs and shooting some photos of the astronomical ceiling of the tombs, you will be ready for your next stop.

Mortuary temple of Hatshepsut

Be ready for the next stop, the Mortuary temple of Hatshepsut on Luxor's west bank is located in Deir El Bahari side by side with The Mortuary Temple of Mentuhotep II. Senmut, the Queen's engineer built the temple for Hatshepsut in a very unique way. Indeed, there are a lot of amazing places in the temple like Hathor Chapel, Anubis Chapel, and Amun holy of holies. Moreover, the wall reliefs show important events like the Punt expedition and the Queen's Divine Birth. Memnon Colossi

Your last stop on Luxor's west bank will be the Memnon Colossi of Pharaoh Amenhotep III seated on the throne while his mother and wife are portrayed long his feet. The Colossi were decorating the entrance of his Mortuary temple but it is in ruins now.

Lunch Meal: Enjoy your lunch in a nice restaurant behind Memnon Colossi. Later on, you will drive back to your hotel in Makadi Bay.
