Day 1 Luxor - Esna

Memnon Colossi

Massive statues for Amenhotep III decorated his Mortuary temple on the west bank of the Nile River called Memnon Colossi. They are the second biggest in Egypt after those of Abu Simbel and they show the king seated with his wife and mother. Day 2 Edfu Temple

Enjoy your delicious breakfast on board the Dahabiya cruise while sailing to Edfu city. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a short horse carriage ride to Horus temple.

Edfu temple

Horus temple or Edfu temple in Aswan is the second largest Pharaonic temple in Egypt and the best-preserved temple. The temple is the only temple has legend of Horus and Seth in details and it was connected to Dendera temple via Pharaonic feast of the Good Union between Hathor of Dendera temple and Horus. Horus temple is famous for its Mammisi, Nilometer, Nut chapel, holy of holies.

Gebel El Silsila

On the way between Edu and Kom Ombo, you will visit the quarries from where the ancient Egyptians cut the stones for building Luxor temples such as Karnak temple, Habu temple, and Mortuary temple of Amenhotep the Third. Once you finish the visit, you will go back to the Dahabiya Cruise to complete your sail towards Kom Ombo. There is always a chance to swim in the Nile upon request or enjoy a sundeck and the great view of the daily life long the river.

Day 3 Kom Ombo temple

Enjoy your breakfast on board while sailing to Kom Ombo with the chance to stop for swimming in the Nile. Upon arrival, you will start your tour to the only double temple in Egypt.

Kom Ombo temple

Unfortunately, the Kom Ombo temple in ruins but still keep amazing carvings such as the ancient Calendar, surgical instruments, and Cleopatras scenes. Also, you can admire the god Sobek and Horus relieves with Isis in the shape of Sekhmet. Kom Ombo is the only temple were everything was duplicated and was one of the biggest healing centers in Egypt. At the end of the tour, you will be back to the Dahabiya and sail towards Aswan.

Another delicious breakfast on board then start your Aswan day tour to some of the best Aswan attractions.

Aswan High Dam

Aswan High Dam is one of the best projects of the twentieth century started in 1960 and completed in 1970. As a result, Lake Nasser was created but drowned a lot of priceless temples, fortresses, and chapels such as Abu Simbel, Kalabsha Temple, Amada Temple, and Beit El Wali.

Unfinished Obelisk

This is the place from where the ancient Egyptians cut the granite stone for building their temples and Obelisks such as Osireion in Abydos, Valley temple in Giza Plateau, and Hatshepsut Obelisk in Karnak temple. Here, you will learn how ancient Egyptian people cut the stones, smoothed them, and transported them to Luxor. Also, you will see the broken Obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut known as the unfinished Obelisk. This Obelisk is supposed to be 42 meters long, and weighing 1,090 tons.

Philae temple

Enjoy a short motorboat ride to the temple of Philae then start your visit to one of the best Greco-Roman temples in Egypt. Walk with your guide inside the temple and learn about the curse of the two Obelisks that decorated the entrance one day. Also, explore the amazing Mammisi of Philae, Hathor temple, Trajan Kiosk, and the Nilometer. Meanwhile, the temple is the source of one of the famous Festivals in ancient Egypt called the Isis festival was celebrated every 10 days.
