Tour itinerary

Start your local exploration with a detailed visit to Luxor's West Bank, including the ancient tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and a view of the Colossi of Memnon. After this great morning trip, you will check in at noon into the luxurious MS Semiramis II Nile Cruise and enjoy a savory lunch on board. Sink back into your comfortable cabin as the vessel moors up for an overnight stay in the historic city of Luxor.

Free time this morning to either relax or explore Luxor on your own. After lunch, the MS Semiramis II will set sail for Edfu via the spectacular Lock of Esna. Lunch will be taken during the cruise along the Nile, with some free time to view the passing scenes. On board, a selection of activities has been designed for your pleasure and enjoyment in the evening. Round off the day with a peaceful night spent in the enchanting city of Edfu.

Start your Saturday with a visit to the beautiful Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the most impressive and well-preserved temples in Egypt. Bask at this magnificent ancient site before continuing your journey to Kom Ombo. You can spend your afternoon soaking up the atmosphere in Kom Ombo City before the cruise sets sail towards Aswan. Enjoy more of the pleasant onboard activities in the evening. End this day with an overnight stay in the bustling city of Aswan.

Start this day off with visits to two of the area's most famous sites:

the High Dam, quite an engineering feat, and the enchanting Philae Temple. Your afternoon will be spent avoiding the midday heat while taking a leisurely cruise around the beautiful Aswan Islands in a felucca. Take in serene views and feel the soft breezes while sailing. Bring this unforgettable day to a close with an overnight stay in Aswan, enveloped by the rich history of this city and its landscapes.

Chasten your morning by taking up the optional tour available to the incredible Great Temple of Abu Simbel, a marvelous architectural feat constructed by King Ramses II. Stand in awe at the historic and architectural magnitude of this site. After such an eventful day, unwind for the night in Aswan and spend the night in this historic city, basking in its serenity.

Spend the day at leisure, relaxing and enjoying onboard facilities. Sail at noon towards Kom Ombo to visit the unusual Kom Ombo Temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. After this visit, sail to Edfu. Spend the evening enjoying a wide variety of entertainment activities that the ship has to offer. Overnight in Edfu City.

The Wednesday morning is at leisure aboard the relaxed atmosphere on board. Later in the day, MS Semiramis II will set sail back to Luxor and, once again, go through the fascinating Esna Lock. Continue sailing along the Nile, enjoying the surrounding scenery. Bring the day to a close by overnighting in Luxor and preparing for the next day's experiences in this ancient city.

On the last day, after a good breakfast, check out of the cruise at 8:00 a.m. In the morning, the sights on the East Bank of Luxor shall be visited: the tremendous ruins of Karnak Temples and the ancient history of Luxor Temple. And now we say goodbye when we provide an added little touch, arranging your free-of-charge drop-off service to any destination in Luxor for added comfort in the execution of your wonderful Nile River cruise.
