Greco- Roman Museum

Khedive Abbas Helmy II inaugurated this Museum in 1895 to display the Greco-Roman artifacts discovered in Alexandria till that time. Unfortunately, the Museum was closed for restoration for a long time starting 2005 till October 11, 2023. The Graeco Roman Museum has now 30 galleries to display the Greco-Roman artifacts plus a state-of-the-art conservation and research center and a hall for multimedia. The Museum includes 10,000 artifacts from ancient Egyptian Civilizations and Greek and Roman eras.

The Catacomb of Kom El Shoqafa

At the end of your tour of the Greco-Roman Museum, you will proceed to the next stop, the Catacomb of Kom El Shoqafa was considered one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages and now it is a very famous Alexandria attraction. It dates back to the second century AD and it was used as a family tomb. Overall, the Catacomb combines a mixture of Roman, Greek, and Egyptian cultures. At the end of your tour, we will drive you back to your hotel in Alexandria.
