Two days in Luxor from Hurghada with a Hot Air Balloon during Egypt tours is the best way to explore Luxor attractions on both sides of the Nile plus Hot air balloon. These Egypt day tours include the best of West Bank such as the Valley of the Kings, and Tutankhamun's tomb. 

Also, you will explore the famous Hatshepsut temple in Deir El Bahari and you can witness the colorful scenes of the Punt Expedition and agriculture. Besides, the massive statues of Memnon on the west bank decorate the Mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Tour itinerary

Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby to start your two days in Luxor from Hurghada with a Hot Air Balloon Ride. It takes around 4 hours driving with a short break on the way for coffee, toilet, and breakfast. Upon arrival to Luxor, you will start your Luxor day tours on Luxor's west bank.

Memnon Colossi

Commence your visit to the Luxor west bank attractions with the enormous statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III sitting on the throne with his wife and mother shown at his feet. He had a tomb temple, but it is now in ruins. The tombs were decorated with colossi. Mummification and Opening of the Mouth ceremonies took place in the temple.

Mortuary temple of Hatshepsut

Near the Mentuhotep II Mortuary Temple on the west bank of Luxor is Hatshepsut Temple, also known as Deir El Bahari. Senmut, Queen's engineer used a very special method to build Hatshepsut's temple. Yes, the second floor has many spectacular locations, like Anubis Chapel, Punt Expedition, and Hathor Chapel. In addition, the wall reliefs depict significant occasions such as the birth of the Queen Divine, Egyptian agriculture, trade, and music and dancing.

Valley of the Kings

Valley of the Kings on Luxor's west bank was the final resting place of all the Pharaohs of the Eighteenth Dynasty, Nineteenth Dynasty, and Twentieth Dynasty. Moreover, Tutankhamun's tomb is very famous in the Valley of the Kings. The walls of the tombs are decorated with the Book of Day, Book of Night, Book of Heavenly Cow, Book of Caverns, and the Book of Imyduat. You can visit 3 tombs included in your ticket and you can choose from:

  • (KV 02) Rameses IV
  • Tomb of Ramses III (KV 11)
  • Ramses IX Tomb KV 6
  • Merenptah tomb (KV 8)
  • The tomb of Tausert and Setnakht (KV 14)

There are also 3 extra tombs against charge such as Tutankhamun tomb, Seti I tomb and Ramesses V.

  • Hotel Check-in: At the end of your Luxor attractions on Luxor west bank, your guide will help you to check-in at your hotel for overnight.
  • Meals: Breakfast, lunch

Early pick-up time for the Hot Air Balloon over the west bank of the Nile River to enjoy all west bank sights from the sky. Later on, you will be back to the hotel for breakfast and start your Luxor day tour on the east bank of the Nile River.

Karnak temple

Your first stop on Luxor east bank will be the biggest complex all over the world, the Karnak complex. Indeed, there are a lot to see in Karnak such as Ptah temple, the Hypostyle Hall, Mut temple, Khonsu temple, and Barque shrine of Ramesses III. Also, you can visit Red Chapel of Hatshepsut, White Chapel of Senusret I, Sacred Lake, and Festival Hall of Thutmose III. Meanwhile, wall reliefs explain a lot about Egyptian religion, ancient Egyptian history, and creation Myths. Later on, you can enjoy free time at your own to take some photos before you go for Luxor temple.

Luxor temple

Your next stop will be Luxor temple which is an amazing Pharaonic temple on Luxor east bank dedicated to God Amun Ka Mut f. The entrance of the temple is decorated with six colossi statues for Ramesses the great and an Obelisk. Also, the wall carvings show one of the most important Festivals in ancient Egypt, Opet Festival. While, Amenhotep III started the construction Ramesses the Great, Hatshepsut, Thutmose III, Horemheb, and Alexander the Great added to the temple reliefs.
