The Hanging Church

Abu Serga Church

Abu Serga church is the oldest church in Egypt and it was built to honor two Roman soldiers martyred for their Christian faith in 303 AD. The most important point about Abu Serga Church is the old crypt where Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus rested for three months.

Ben Ezra Synagogue

It is one of the most popular Jewish attractions in Cairo and one of the oldest synagogues in Egypt. It is believed that Ben Ezra Synagogue was built on the site where the baby Moses was found. Moreover, there is the Geniza where they found documents explaining the history of Jews in Egypt.

The lost beard of the Sphinx now is between the British Museum and the Cairo Museum. Finally, the Dream Stele between the paws of the Sphinx dates back to Prince Thutmose IV and is a highlight of the statue.
