You will learn about the ancient Egyptian civilizations and ancient Egyptian history during the Old Kingdom. Our Egypt Day Tours take you to the oldest capital of Egypt and the first pyramid. You will surely be delighted by a private expert guide who will accompany you to Memphis and the Open-Air Museum of Ramesses the Great, then to the Saqqara Pyramid Complex, where you'll see places like the Unas Pyramid and the first Pyramid Texts. We will conduct the tour in the Giza Pyramids, showing you the Cheops Pyramid, surrounded by Queen Pyramids, and the tombs of the pyramid builders. And finally, we will give you an opportunity to visit the Mummification Temple and the Great Sphinx.
Tour itinerary
All our Cairo excursions start with meeting your guide at the hotel lobby where you start your Cairo attractions to Giza pyramids, Sakkara, and Memphis. We take 45 minutes to reach your first destination, which is Memphis. While en-route, your guide will explain briefly about ancient Egyptian history. You will start the tour with Memphis, the capital of Egypt during the early dynastic period and founded by King Narmer about 3100 BC. Then you will proceed to Saqqara, the location of numerous Pyramids, tombs, the Serapeum, tents of mummification, and Nobles tombs. You will be taken to Djoser Pyramid and Complex, where you will get information about ancient Egyptian Festivals. the Unas Pyramid from inside, you will also explore its intriguing Pyramid Texts. You will also visit the daily life scenes adorning the walls of the Idut tomb.
After lunch in the Saqqara restaurant between plan trees in the middle of nature, you head to the famous Pyramids of Giza. In fact, Giza Pyramids will always be at the top of Egypt's attractions due to their architectural and engineering wonders. You will marvel at the Cheops Pyramid, Chephren Pyramid, and Menkaure Pyramid. You will finalize your tour with the Valley Temple, where they perform the Opening of the Mouth rituals and the Great Sphinx. At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your Cairo or Giza hotel.
